How it works
Do I need an internet connection to take payments?
No. Kassavera runs on a computer installed in your shop. Tablets and phones connect over your local Wi-Fi. The internet is only used to email receipts and for the cloud backup, which is optional.
Which devices does Kassavera run on?
The main till runs on a Windows 10 or 11 PC. Extra tills can be any recent PC, Android tablet, iPad or smartphone with a web browser.
How many tills can I use at once?
As many as you need: they all share the same stock and sales live. We tested 16 tills at once and 18 000 receipts without a single error.
What if the computer breaks down?
Your data is copied to a USB stick every day and at every close, and continuously to the cloud if you choose that option. Restoring to a new PC takes a few minutes. The current ticket is kept even after a restart.
Is the interface available in English?
Receipts print in English, French or Dutch. The till screen is currently in French; full English and Dutch translations are in progress.
Payments
Does it work with my card terminal?
Yes, with all of them: Worldline, CCV, SumUp, Viva… You take the card payment on the terminal and confirm with one tap in Kassavera. Automatic integration with some terminals is planned.
How do QR code payments work?
Kassavera shows a SEPA transfer QR code (EPC standard) with the amount and your IBAN. The customer scans it with their banking app and confirms. You confirm once received: no fees.
Can customers split a payment?
Yes: part in cash, the rest by card, QR code or gift voucher. The 5-cent rounding only applies to the cash part, as the law requires.
Legal
Is Kassavera a certified cash register (SCE/GKS, black box)?
No. Kassavera is for businesses that aren’t subject to the certified cash register requirement: retail, bakeries, boutiques, takeaway… A certified version is planned. See the rules in detail.
I run a chip shop: can I use Kassavera?
Yes, if you sell takeaway or delivery. If customers eat on the premises and those meals exceed €25,000 excl. VAT a year, a certified cash register is mandatory. Check your situation with your accountant.
Are the reports suitable for my accountant?
Yes: Z report at closing, VAT broken down by rate and a CSV export of sales that your accountant can open straight in Excel.
Quotes & getting started
How much does Kassavera cost?
It depends on the plan (monthly subscription or lifetime licence), the number of tills and the hardware. Contact us and you’ll get a tailored quote within 24 hours.
Subscription or lifetime licence: which should I choose?
The monthly subscription needs no upfront investment, includes updates and support, and can be cancelled any month. The lifetime licence is paid once and stays yours; annual maintenance is optional. Every feature is included either way. Your quote will recommend the best-value option.
Are there installation fees?
Not for remote installation, which is included in both plans. On-site installation and training are part of the turnkey packs, or billed separately if you already have hardware.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
Your data belongs to you: you can export your sales and products as CSV at any time and keep your backups.
Can I switch from subscription to licence?
Yes. Get in touch: part of the monthly fees you’ve paid can be deducted from the licence price.
Is the card terminal included?
No. Kassavera works with your current terminal, whatever the provider. You pay Kassavera no commission on your sales.
How long does it take to get started?
One morning: installation, importing your products from Excel and a quick run-through with the team. The setup wizard guides you through the rest.
Can I try it before committing?
Yes. We’ll show you Kassavera with your own products in a demo, and the subscription can be cancelled any month.
